|Scope & Content||Report of the Anacortes Drainage Committee which began in 1957 to create a storm drainage system plan; of the 23 members of the volunteer committee, 13 were from the Shell Oil refinery. They were successful in creating a design, saving the community the cost of an engineering survey. The bond issue, which failed in 1957, passed in 1959. Included are: an article in the SHELL NEWS, an address to a governmental agency, letters to Mayor Pinson, a description of the storm drainage design, maps, and other data related to the design.|
