|Scope & Content||
In December 1973 a prospectus was printed for the Depot Center to become a community arts complex. It was proposed that the building's three areas be used for different purposes.
The north end could become an expanded art gallery which could also house the Anacortes Arts and Crafts Foundation permanent collection and provide space for touring shows. When closed, the Gallery could be used as classroom space for adult instruction in the arts.
The central area could house railroad memorabilia.
The sound end could be used for community theater, drama and concert presentations, social fund raisers, and other compatible activities.
Other parts of the prospectus include:
The Sponsors' Background
Historic Significance of the Building
Proposed Management Plan
Proposed Articles of Incorporation
Letters of Endorsement
