This image is of the 1949 Marineers' Pageant Royalty, attendants, and contestants being escorted onto War Memorial Field by sailors. Queen Norine Chiabai, wearing the cape, is at the rear with the young children serving as her attendants. In front of her are Princesses Roberta Sullivan and Ardelle Rock. Eight other young women stand in front of them, among them, Florence Adams, Rita Bargewell, Lyla Keltz, and Beverly Leake. WF 1637 - 1949 Marineer Pageant Parade - Royalty float

This image is of the 1949 Marineers' Pageant royalty float carrying Queen Norine Chiabai and Princesses Roberta Sullivan, Ardelle Rock, Florence Adams, Rita Bargewell, Lyla Keltz,and Beverly Leake. The float is decorated with a maritime motif of anchor and lighthouse and is passing South Side Texaco Service station at 18th and Commercial. The station was listed here in the 1948 and 1954 city directories, but was gone by 1962. 18,000 people attended this rainy parade according to the 7-28-1949 ANACORTES AMERICAN.

Color montage of photographs of Wallie V. Funk and wife Mary Ann's grandchildren Casey and Charlie Funk, adopted sons of Mark and Pam Funk. On the back of the page of photos is a family letter announcing the arrival of Charlie Jee Woo Funk, upon his arrival to the Funk family on June 20, 2000. The letter reads: "July 2, 2000, "My God, he's a little Elvis!" these were Pam's first words upon seeing baby Charlie, whose long, thick hair sticks straight up into a three-inch pompadour-like wave over his forehead. He looks like he should be wearing a white sequined jacket and belting out, "Don't be Cruel." His top lip even curls up a little when he smiles. Five-month-old Charlie joins big
