Anacortes High School (AHS) yearbook/annual and Junior High Annual: Rhododendron 1934 once belonged to Jay Dishnow, Principal of the junior high. It contains fifty two pages of black and white photos on cream colored paper along with pertinent school articles on students, faculty, and clubs. The cover is made of wood with black engraved print for the title: RHODODENDRON 1934 with an illustration of a rhododendron underneath the title. The binding is of black textured tape. On the inside the following names are hand written: J. Dishnow, Arlene Blackwell, and Jack Ross. Inside were to obituaries (.002 and .003). .002 - Isabelle Witmer, class of 1935, died October 18, 1939. .003 - Elizabeth Roberta Fullerton, class of 1935, died in 1941.

Charles Pinson was the father of Anacortes mayor and dentist Raymond Pinson. Charles Pinson , an insurance agent, came to Anacortes in 1919, shortly after serving in World War I. He was a "long-time member of the Anacortes School Board" and an elder in Anacortes Christian Church. He was married and widowed three times, and died at age 98 in 1995.
