This red and white poster was created in 2013 in a bid for the re-election of Dean Maxwell to the office of Mayor of Anacortes. He was defeated by Laurie Gere in the November election after serving for 20 years as mayor.

Anacortes Women of Today organized the parade and celebration at Causland Park on July 4, 2007. The printed program included five songs which were led by Alex Dunton in a patriotic sing along; he also sang the "Star Spangled Banner." Judy Jewell was the town crier and also sang "Oh, Canada" with Bert Stevens. Mayor Dean Maxwell gave the welcome address. Also included in the program were Boy Scout Troop #81, Doug Fakkema, Hollie Brand, the Anacortes Harmonaires and Doug Glein.
