A Veterans Day banquet at Eagles Hall was hosted in 2002 to honor veterans, members of the armed services, and those who died in the service of the country Honored guests included Bud Strom, John Turner, Rick Larsen, Nick Petrish, Bill Mauntel, Keith LaRue, and Kay Bell. A CD recorded by Rudy Malland was played as a tribute to the banjo player who performed at the 2001 Veterans Day event and died October 19, 2002.
