He became so good he went on to play in a band on Whidbey Island. Record album "Band-Tasia," of the Anacortes High School Seahawk Band, Keith Eide, Conductor. Blue cover. Side one includes: Sinfonians Concert March, Tamerlane, Hail Nero, Elsa's Profecessional to the Cathedral, and, Prelude. Side two includes: King Size March, Kiddie Ballet, Colorama, and Cado Yubi. Donor was born and raised in Anacortes; played trombone and french horn in the Anacortes High School (AHS) band. He purchased the album in a bookstore.

Portrait of H. P. Schmidt and his wife, who married in April 1902, at their home on Cap Sante. See the invitation to Henry's bachelor party, WF 0271. See him in Anacortes Band, WF 0783. Henry P. was the son of H. W. Schmidt, Anacortes' "Pioneer Druggist," who opened his pharmacy on the east side of P/Commercial in 1890; see WF 0080, 0834 for view of this pharmacy. In 1899, H. W. Schmidt passed his pharmacy business to his son, Henry, who thereafter became very involved in civic matters in Anacortes. The 09-20-1906, ANACORTES AMERICAN reported, "Harry Schmidt, Commercial Ave. druggist failed to climb Mt. Baker but gained good sport. The air was too full of smoke. Went hunting instead an
