Christ was a European shortening of the name "Christian." He and his wife, Doris, lived with their family at 1610 10th Street. Nelson was a "Watkins Man," a door-to-door salesman that was a fixture of many communities from the late-1800s on. For a view of Nelson's "Watkins car", see WF 2277.
