WF 1384 - Cemetery - unidentified

This view of a recent burial does not appear to be at Grandview Cemetery or Pleasant Ridge (LaConner). The deceased was a woman, probably from the Lake Campbell area, and of Swedish background. Note the wreath from "Vasa Lodge," a Swedish organization. She also belonged to the Rebekah Lodge, Mt. Erie chapter. Various other banners state "Wife," "Friend," Sister." The view is similar to WF 1385. Note the cement curbing delineating family lots. If this is Grandview Cemetery, there is very little evidence of this once common burial practice. Also note farms and homes in the distance. The tombstone to the left of the new burial with a prominent star on top appears to have the name DAVIS engraved

2013.077.089 - Luvera coat of arms

The Luvera coat of arms was apparently photographed leaning against a screen; a Persian-type carpet is beneath the coat of arms. The name "Luvera" is at the base with four arches above it. Above the arches are four rows of bricks and a six-pointed star or flower. The top appears to be a helmet for suit of armor with stylized branches to the left and right. The coat of arms appears to be made of wood. The title "Luvera's Coat of Arms" has been glued to the lower right corner.
