Caption CAUSLAND, probably Frank
Description Labeled "Causland," it is probably Frank Causland, who settled on Guemes Island in 1885. The May 23,1885, NORTHWEST ENTERPRISE reported that Causland and his wife, Fanny, had recently arrived there from Illinois. The 1892 Territorial Census enumerated Frank and Fanny, ages 37 and 28, with their 5 year old son Harry. Harry was killed in World War I and Causland Park at 8th and N was named in his honor.
