Caption ROGERS, Rex
Description Rex Rogers is holding his violin. He was probably the son of Ed and Clarie Rogers; he was listed in the 1929 city directory as living with them at 1st and Oakes. Edward Rogers ran a shoe repair business at 1108 Commercial from c. 1904 to c. 1938. The 1929 directory listed Rex's occupation as a factory worker at Anacortes Lumber and Box. He graduated from Anacortes High School in 1930 where he was active in orchestra, football as a basketball manager, violin quartet, and Glee Club. In 1937 he was living with his wife Evelyn at 1214 18th Street and he was a millworker for E. K. Wood Company. By 1948 they were living in Sedro-Woolley where Rex was co-owner of Willis and Rogers Remilling Company, "Wholesalers of fir, lumber." This image was one of Brady's earliest. The negative sleeve is numbered #161. WF 4567 is a portrait of his brother, Wilson, negative #160. WF 4576 is probably his sister, negative number #162.
