Caption Wilson Meat Market
Description Operated by Henry Wilson and his son Eugene, the Wilson Meat Market was located on the west side of P/Commercial Avenue between 4th and 5th c. 1901-1910; it was not listed in either the 1900 or 1912 City Directory. The exterior view of this business may be seen in the 9-30-1954, ANACORTES AMERICAN Homecoming & History issue, p. 7. The ANACORTES AMERICAN reported Harrison Wilson's death on 5-1-1919, in Bellingham at the age of 78. He had been a resident of Anacortes for fifteen years. "Wilson was the oldest butcher in Anacortes at the time of his retirement."
