Caption Marineer's Pageant-Queen Doris
Description Queen's float in the 1947 Marineers' Pageant parade. Includes princesses Norine Oldow, and Bonita Cross beside Queen Doris Springer (seated), and Joyce Neville, Leona Andrich, and Marilyn Morrison with two page boys at the front of the float. Float is covered with flowers. The Queen is seated and above her head are the words: "Queen Doris". Buildings and/or businesses in the photograph are: West Coast Creamery at the corner of 5th and Commercial (east side), U.S. Post Office (corner of 6th & Commercial - east side), Brooks Block, and the Keystone Building. Parade goers line the street. This parade is during the Marineers' Pageant. [ also see D.II.151.002; 1995.022.001.006]
