Caption GINNETT, Robert
Description Robert Ginnett was a member of the class of 1932 at Anacortes High School. Samuel Ginnett homesteaded near the lake in 1884 and discovered copper on his farm on the west side of Lake Campbell in1907. The mine was developed by the Matrix and Milling Company which advertised the mine in the ANACORTES AMERICAN on 1-9-1919. Samuel Ginnett died two months later at age 80, leaving behind four sons - Robert, Walter, Sam and Albert V. Ginnett, and a daughter, Sarah Ginnett Torpy. From these facts, it appears that this portrait is of a grandson.
