This was the first pageant held since 1941 and it appears the coronation was quite lavish. "Pageant Winners Holly wood Trip" "Queen Doris Springer, Princesses Norine Oldow and Bonita Cross head to Los Angeles aboard new United Air Lines DC-4 plane on its maiden voyage. Will participate in programs at Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles air fields inaugurating the service. Have a full agenda in Los Angeles." For photos of their departure, see WF 0339, 0340. Other pageant contestants were Leona Andrich and Marilyn Morrison. For complete series of this coronation, see WF 1609-1626.
