Caption ROGERS, Wilson
Description Wilson Rogers is shown playing his cello. He graduated from Anacortes High School in 1928 where he was active in Orchestra, Glee Club, operetta, and drama. He was probably the son of Ed and Clarie Rogers; he was listed in the 1929 city directory as living with them at 1st and Oakes. Edward Rogers ran a shoe repair business at 1108 Commercial from c. 1904 to c. 1938. The 1937 directory listed Wilson as a laborer living with his wife, Gladys, at 1403 30th Street. In 1948 he the filter operator of the Anacortes Water Department and he was living at 38th and J. This image was used in Anacortes Museum's "Say Brady" exhibit in 1999. A note from that exhibit stated that Rogers had the Western Auto store at 602 Commercial, most likely during the 1950s. This image was one of Brady's earliest. The negative sleeve is numbered #160. WF 4566 is a portrait of his brother, Rex, negative #161. WF 4576 is probably his sister, negative number #162.
