Caption Kiddies' Parade - "Best decorated Bike" category
Description The "Juvenile" or Children's Parade of the Marineers' Pageant was usually held on Friday, separate from the big community parade held on Saturday. By 1949 the name changed to Kiddies' Parade. It had special categories of events: best decorated bicycle, best decorated doll buggy, etc. This image is of a boy, probably Jerry Annette, in a straw hat on a bicycle decorated with balloons for the "Best decorated bicycle" category. Behind him are two children dressed as clowns and the girl in the sombrero from WF 1394.022.
