Caption Ferdinand Kramer
Description Ferdinand Kramer began teaching geometry and physics at Anacortes High School c. 1936. He grew up in Ritzville, Washington, and regaled his students with stories of moving from a farm to the University of Washington. He and his students were devoted to one another, and in the latter stages of his career he showed them how to forge his initials on a hall pass rather than bother him to do it; as long as the trust was respected, it was allowed. He lived across from the football field in a small house at 1815 K Avenue. By the time he retired in 1967 he was teaching all the upper level math classes.
