Caption Causland Park c1920s
Description Photograph of early Causland Park shortly after it was built (located between 7th and 8th Streets and M and N Streets). Trees are merely saplings. Taken from perhaps the roof of a home on the NW corner of 7th Street. In the block "behind" the park can be seen the Carnegie Library (1305 - 8th Street), Westminster Presbyterian Church (1300 - 9th Street), the building which, in 2007, houses the ACT Theatre; however in November 1912 it housed the First Christian Church which, in the mid 1920s, the name was changed to the Church of Christ in Anacortes. Other homes can be seen in the photograph.
