Caption Two men with a bear trophy head
Description This copy work was done by Brady for Eleanor Toland. Two men are standing on the dock at the Port of Anacortes next to a dolly with a large bear's head on it. Judging from the beard on the one man, it appears they may have just returned from Alaska where they had gone fishing/hunting. The 1937 city directory listed Eleanor and James Toland at 1014 3rd Street. James was a bartender at the Brown Lantern Tavern and may be one of the two men in the image. By 1948, "Mrs. Eleanor Toland" was listed as living alone at 1407 K Avenue and working as a waitress at Levenseller's Cafe.
