Caption CARROLL, Jay
Description Jay Carroll was a "canneryman" at Anacortes Canning Company, which was in business in 1945. The 5-17-1945 ANACORTES AMERICAN reported, "Local canneries to consolidate ... Fishermen's Packing Corporation will can all fish brought into Anacortes. Consolidation program for Far West, Anacortes Canning Company, Sebastian Stuart, Far West. War putting dent into man power. FPC canned all salmon on Puget Sound last year; this year they will just do Anacortes." Note, Brady also wrote, "HOUSING" on the negative sleeve.
