Caption Phyllis Winkler Baton group - Causland Park
Description This is one of seven photos taken by Brady of this baton group. Wallie Funk identified this as "Phyllis Winkler Group" and several of the images are of Phyllis Winkler herself. The images were taken in Causland Park and may have been in conjunction with the Marineers' Pageant. This image shows Winkler (apparently) standing at center rear in a plumed shako. Three boys with drums kneel in front while twenty young girls and boys holding batons surround Winkler. See WF 1758 - 1764 for entire series of images.
