Alaska Packing Company (left), and the Fidalgo Island Packing Company (right) were both located at Ship Harbor, the present site of the Washington State Ferry Dock for the San Juan Islands and Victoria, B.C. (2013). The smokestack and be seen on the right center as well as a piling in the water's edge at FIPC. On hill left of photo (not seen here) is the home of the manager of Alaska Packing and called the Sutter Home, for Carl Sutter and Otto Sutter. At another time period George E. Bower. Manager of Fidalgo Island, at one point in the early 1900s was Mr. Heyseth.
