|Description||Lester "Les" Senff graduated from Anacortes High School in 1932 where he starred in football and was also active in basketball, glee club, Big "A", and track. He was the son of Guy and Gladys Senff. The 1921 city directory listed Buy Senff as the treasurer of the Gold Medal shingle mill at 21st and Commercial. The 1937 directory listed Les as working as a sawyer with the Washington Shingle Company and living with his parents at 2219 R Avenue. By the 1940s, Les had become a fisherman. The 1948 directory listed Les and his wife, Violet, living at 1811 7th Street. In 1958, Wallie Funk rode aboard Senff's boat DECEPTION to Alaska when the Anacortes fishing fleet headed to their summer fishing grounds.|
