Caption Cap Sante Marine Stadium - Announcer Service truck
Description Marine Stadium (amphitheater) located on Cap Sante, was built on the east side of Cap Sante with a $17,000 grant from the Federal Government, probably as a Works Progress Administration project. It served as the centerpiece of the Marineers' Pageant water sport events. The "Standard Oil Announcer Service" truck provided the public address system. The truck also served other local public events such as the Coupeville Water Festival. In 2001 the stadium was reclaimed from the brush by volunteers. Also see WF 1638, 1639.
