Description Snug Harbor Health Camp, was located at Deer Harbor, Orcas Island. This view is of girls paddling a sea-going aka saltchuck canoe. The health camp, started by Mr. Lange, was "one of four such camps in the United States." It opened in the summer of 1935 for business and professional men. WF 2175-2190 were probably publicity photos for the camp. This image is labeled "S. H. 9" in the lower right corner. An article about the camp is in the WF 2174 image folder.
