Caption Grand prize - Jaycee's Salmon Derby Dance- 1946
Description "Tacoma Man Wins Boat: R. Stinson of 1302 South 40th Street in Tacoma was the winner of the handsome "Smithbuilt" boat given away as the top prize at the Salmon Derby dance held last Saturday evening at the Eagles' Hall.

A large crowd of dancing fans and sports enthusiasts attended the event which acted as a kickoff for the finals of the Junior Chamber of Commerce Salmon Derby on Sunday morning.

Mr. Stinson was to be bnotified of his fortunate win by the Tacoma Junior Chamber of Cemmerce. Members of the local chamber plan to deliver the boat personally to Mr. Stinson." ANACORTES AMERICAN newsarticle, September 19, 1946.
