|Caption||Deception Pass area (?)|
Unidentified, but it was most likely taken in the Deception Pass area where Judd took many similar views. He hand-colored the print, one of his many colorized views of local scenery that were extremely popular in the years prior to the development of color film. He often advertised them in the ANACORTES AMERICAN during the period 1918-1930. An advertisement in the 12-12-1929, edition reads, "Framed pictures of Puget Sound scenery make nice gifts. We live in the most beautiful place in the world. Give one of Judd's Colored Photographs to somebody and advertise the fact with the Christmas gift." See WF 0605, 0606 for other hand-colored views from this area.
