Description Street Scene, Commercial Avenue (copy of postcard). Card by Ellis #1710, c.1947. On east side of street shows Keystone building (619 Commercial) With Tradewell, Western Union, Northern Sales --2nd hand goods, and other stores: U. S. Post Office (515 Commercial); McNaught Building housing Allen's Mercantile Market (419), Mercantile Apartments (419-1/2), and others. Across the street (west) can be seen the Empire Building (620 Commercial) with the Dodge Clock in front of it on Commercial. Burton Jewelers at 618 Commercial, Brown Bros. Clothing (616), Sunset Florist (614), Mayflower Bakery (604) and Western Auto Supply in the Central Building (602--now known as the Shannon Building). Automobiles on Commercial are of the 1930s and 1940s era.
