Raymond "Ray" Separovich graduated from Anacortes High School in 1940 where he was active in baseball, basketball, drama, Big "A", annual and newspaper staffs, Boys' Club, Key Club, and the Mt. Vernon Leaders' conference. Ray served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
The Separovich family first appears in Anacortes city directories in 1929. It listed Anton and Mary Separovich at 1210 15th Street, and John and Mary Separovich at 1119 15th Street. Both Anton and John were fishermen. Ray Separovich was listed in the 1948 city directory living at 1117 3rd Street with his wife, June. Like his brother Bob and his father Anton, Ray was a fisherman.
