Caption 1941 Marineer Pageant coronation
Description This image from the 1941 Marineers' Pageant is of the Royal party following the crowning of Queen Virginia Finnson by Anacortes Mayor Charles Peters. It appears that the mayor is crowning a "Marineer King." "High ranking Princess" Ruth Gent stands to the left in the Causland Park Pavilion. The boy who carried the crown and the two young girls who serve as train bearers stand below the pavilion. The queen is not seen. For the complete series of this coronation, see WF 1597-1607.
