Caption Poor farm and T.B. Hospital
Description The Skagit County Poor Farm and Tuberculosis Hospital on Calhoun Road, built in 1910, served the people of Fidalgo Island as well as the general region. This is a montage of health care image that Wallie Funk made in collaboration with a series of newspaper articles that he wrote on the history of health care in Anacortes (ANACORTES AMERICAN, 1996, issues 5-1, 5-8, 5-15, 5-22). He borrowed these images from people and returned all but 0268.001.005.
