Description Odlin Home - c.1950, owner W.T. Odlin, located at 1304 32nd Street built in early 1890s. Odlin, a banker, moved to Anacortes in 1899 from Sedro and founded Citizen's Bank at Commercial Avenue and 8th Street, according to his obituary. His actions restored banking service to Anacortes, which had been without since the 1893 depression closed the town's banks. Odlin's bank specialized in handling lumber, shingle, and canning industry accounts. On January 5, 1905, the ANACORTES AMERICAN reported W.T. Odlin proved "faithful to the town, its institutions, and citizens through the dark days and into the light". Shortly afterwards, on April 6, 1905, the ANACORTES AMERICAN reported: W.T. Odlin of Citizen's Bank to build "fine brick or stone" building at corner of Commercial Avenue and 7th Street. Odlin served as mayor of Anacortes on 1906. Russell Hibler lived here from 1947-1987. Home still stands today [May 2014]. For earlier view of home see WF 0218.
