Dave and Lucille Mooney were married c. 1927. Dave was born in 1904 in Saskatoon, Canada and immigrated with his parents, John and Mary Mooney, to Blaine, Washington, c. 1905. Dave and his brother Ed moved to Anacortes in the early 1920s, where their parents joined them. In 1927, Dave Mooney's Tire and Battery Shop was located at 1110 Commercial Avenue. The 12-1-1927 ANACORTES AMERICAN announced that Dave Mooney was building a new shop for tire and batteries on the site of the H and D Service Station, but the business was apparently short-lived. In 1937 Dave and Lucille were living at 1102 O Avenue and Dave was working as a millworker at Morrison Mill Company. In 1948 Dave was a salesman at the Anacortes Supermarket.
