This beautiful building has a neo-classic architectural style. Now it is open for live shows and during every time of day or season you can go in to take a look at this historical landmark and have a drink at its elegant bar.
Trip to Mexico in May 1953 taken by Wallie V Funk [Jr] with Anacortes dentist, Dr. Eugene Alton "Bud" Strom (future Mayor of Anacortes), first going to Los Angeles, California. They met up with Gordon Woodland (Manager of Chamber of Commerce of Anacortes) who was a member of the U. S. Naval Reserve doing a short training in San Diego. The three went on to Tijuana, Mexico, and vicinity. Next they traveled to Arizona where Gordon Woodland's brother lived, to Death Valley Desert and back to Anacortes. The trip took two weeks.
