Description Rudy Victor Malland belonged to the American Legion following World War II. This overseas cap has the American Legion symbol in gold and blue, and the words Seattle, Wash. in gold thread. On the other side the number 160 is in gold thread, and there are ten pins attached; Operation Desert Storm, South 83 Legion, SPEEA, Anacortes Eagles King Salmon Barbecue, Bellevue in 82, Kirkland Eagles Can Can Girls, Norway EXPO 86, U.S. Naval Reserve Honorable Discharge, Bothell Post 127, and a gold metal star. Mr. Malland served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater, then in a Seattle reserve unit on Lake Union for two years. He was honorably discharged.
