Object Name Cap, Military
Description Rudy Victor Malland belonged to the American Legion following World War II. This overseas cap has the American Legion symbol in gold and blue, a star with 25 in the center, a "W.W.2" silver pin, a 1945-1955 WWII commemorative pin, and the word Washington embroidered in gold thread. On the back side is the number 13 in gold thread. Mr. Malland served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater, then in a Seattle reserve unit on Lake Union for two years. He was honorably discharged.
