Description This blue fox on a red background was worn on the uniform while in Woodbadge training; it indicates being a member of the Fox Patrol, one of the original Boy Scout patrols. Woodbadge is an international adult training program for Boy Scouts. All Woodbadge trainees become a part of the original Boy Scout Troop 1 in Gilwell, England. Gilwell was the home of Sir Baden Powell who started the international scouting movement. The training usually takes a year or more to complete. All awards and badges in accession number 2012.117 were awarded to Mr. Raymond Smith in the 1940s as a youth and later as an adult leader.
